Do you replace double glazed units
Yes; we can replace any type of sealed unit on a like for like basis or upgrade to achieve a greater U value (Greater energy efficiency). New and replacement double glazed sealed units are available in various specifications as direct replacements or to achieve an improved energy performance rating; in all styles, shapes and sizes, including annealed and toughened, K glass or low-e., patterned glass, stained, leaded and more. Should you live in a noisy environment, we can help alleviate the nuisance by way of acoustic sealed units, which significantly reduces the noise by up to 38 dB.
Do you sell table top protectors
Yes. Glass table top protectors are a great way to prevent damage to your furniture and are available in almost any size or shape.
Can I get splashbacks in any colour
Yes. You can choose virtually any colour from a RAL; BS or Pantone colour chart or select a Dulux; Crown; Farrow and Ball colour etc.
Do you offer a free quotation service
Yes. We offer a prompt free of charge, no obligation quotation service for domestic or commercial properties.
Do you work with Fire Resistant Glass?
Yes. We offer a range of different Fire Resistant Glass – also known as Fire Rated Glass projects with various levels of protection.
The protection these glass products provide is defined by
1. it’s ‘Integrity’ – which is measured in minutes and relates to how long the glass will resist the application and passage of flames and smoke to the glass
2. it’s ‘Insulation’ – which is measured in minutes also and relates to how the resistance to the passage of heat through the glass is conducted.
Do you offer any sort of guarantee
Yes. We offer a 5 year warranty on sealed units supplied and fitted by us (T’s & C’s apply)
What is secondary glazing?
Secondary glazing is a cost effective alternative to complete window replacement in cases where the window frames are perfectly sound.
Often utilised in conservation areas or on listed buildings where double glazing is not permitted or not viable.
It improves insulation for both heat retention and sound reduction and helps reduce condensation.
Our secondary glazing is robust as it is an aluminium extruded product and finished off with a durable powder coated paint.
Are Melton Glass’s services insured?
We are fully insured glaziers and offer a 5-year warranty on sealed units (IGU) that are both supplied and fitted by our team. We hold valid CSCS cards. You can upgrade the windows in your home to low emissivity glass. This helps you to achieve better insulation and save on your energy bills.
Can you fit dog and cat flaps into sealed units?
Yes, absolutely, we provide a full service to install dog and cat flaps where required.
What are Melton Glass’ opening hours?
We are open on Monday to Thursday from 8.00am to 4.30pm and Friday 8.00am to 1.00pm. We are contactable via email and through our social media channels at all other times and will respond during working hours.
